algebra tiles

Definition

Algebra tiles are colorful blocks that help your child understand math concepts like adding and subtracting numbers, or solving simple equations, by letting them physically build and move around the problems. Each tile stands for a different part of a math problem, like a single number or a variable like 'x'.

algebra tiles is a term used in Ontario’s Kindergarten to Grade 8 curriculum.
