inverse operations

Definition

Inverse operations are like opposites that cancel each other out, like adding and subtracting, or multiplying and dividing. If you do one, the other can undo it and bring you back to where you started.

inverse operations is a term used in Ontario’s Kindergarten to Grade 8 curriculum.
