The Pythagorean theorem is a rule that helps us find the length of a missing side in a special triangle called a right-angle triangle (a triangle with one square corner). It says that if you square the two shorter sides and add them together, you'll get the same number as when you square the longest side.
Pythagorean theorem is a term used in Ontario’s Kindergarten to Grade 8 curriculum.
