scale (on a graph)

Definition

The scale on a graph tells you what each line or mark on the side of the graph stands for, like if each line means 1, 10, or 100. It helps fit all the information neatly onto the graph so you can easily see the data.

scale (on a graph) is a term used in Ontario’s Kindergarten to Grade 8 curriculum.
