A Métis Senator is an elder in the Métis community who is respected for their knowledge of Métis culture and traditions, and works to keep these ways of life strong. In Ontario, they also help guide their local Métis community council.
Métis Senator is a term used in Ontario’s Kindergarten to Grade 8 curriculum.
