Numbered Treaties are formal agreements made between the Canadian government and various Indigenous groups from 1871 to 1921, covering large areas of land across Canada. These agreements, like Treaty 6, established rights and responsibilities for both sides.
Numbered Treaties is a term used in Ontario’s Kindergarten to Grade 8 curriculum.
