power of ten

Definition

A power of ten is simply the number 10 multiplied by itself a certain number of times (like 10x10=100), or divided by itself a certain number of times (like 1 divided by 10x10 = 0.01).

power of ten is a term used in Ontario’s Kindergarten to Grade 8 curriculum.
