A presentation is when someone performs a play or show for an audience to watch.
When a student stands at the front of the class to share what they learned about community helpers, that is a presentation.
How to teach this in 30 seconds
Try this analogy: A presentation is like putting on a little show for your family in the living room to share something you learned.
Ask your child: If you were going to tell the class about your favorite toy, how would you show them?
Common mix-up: Kids might think a presentation is just talking. A good presentation also uses your body, voice, and maybe even props to share ideas.
