Balance in music means how well all the different sounds, like voices and instruments, mix together so that you can hear everything clearly and nothing is too loud or too soft. It's about making sure all the parts sound good together.
When your child walks along a crack in the sidewalk without stepping off, they are practicing their balance.

Try this analogy: Balance is like playing the freeze game — you hold your body very still so you don't wobble or fall over.
