Definition

Technology in music means using things like computers, apps, and special equipment to create, change, and record sounds.

A pair of scissors is a simple technology that helps us cut paper neatly.

How to teach this in 30 seconds

Try this analogy: Technology is like a special tool that helps us do something faster or better, like using a scooter instead of walking.

Ask your child: What tool in this room helps us do something?

Common mix-up: Kids often think technology is just about screens like computers and tablets. Technology includes any tool that helps us solve a problem, from a simple spoon to a complex computer.
