relational rods

Definition

Relational rods are colourful, different-sized blocks that help kids understand numbers by letting them see and touch how numbers relate to each other. They're great for showing how to add, subtract, or compare numbers.

relational rods is a term used in Ontario’s Kindergarten to Grade 8 curriculum.
